      Candidates for all positions should answer questions a & b and one additional question (c, d, e, f. or g) depending on the position you are applying for:  

 

a.       Candidates for all positions: Describe your philosophy of education and explain how you hope to put it into practice as a founding member of the Cristo Rey Philadelphia team.  (Maximum Response- 1000 words)

b.      Candidates for all positions: If selected, you will have the opportunity to play a major role in the founding of the nation’s 25th Cristo Rey High School.  Your work ethic, commitment, personality, spirituality, standards, and determination will be vital in creating a school culture for students and faculty.  We hope to assemble a team of faculty and administrators that maintains high expectations for our students and works tirelessly to support each student’s learning growth, and development.  Your work both inside and outside the classroom will determine the team’s success.  Why should you be part of this team?  (Maximum Response: 500 Words)

c.       Answer only if Applying for a Faculty Position: At CRPHS you will be asked to design and teach a 9th grade college preparatory level course to students who arrive in August 2012 two - three years behind grade-level proficiency.  How do you plan to accomplish this task?  (Maximum Response - 500 words)

d.      Answer only if Applying for the Dean of Students Position: As Dean of Students you will help create and maintain a culture of high expectation and support for and among our student body.  Describe your vision for that culture and how you hope to implement that vision. (Maximum Response - 500 words)

e.       Answer only if Applying for the Student Counselor Position: As a counselor at CRPHS you will be asked to develop a comprehensive program to support the needs of all students.  Describe the challenges you expect to encounter and your vision for this aspect of the school. (Maximum Response - 500 words)

f.        Answer only if Applying for the Director of Campus Ministry & Student Activities Position: At CRPHS activities and programs available to the students outside the classroom will play a critical role in their social, spiritual, and intellectual development as leaders dedicated to the service of God and others.  What is your vision for these programs? (Maximum Response - 500 words)

g.       Answer only if Applying for the Direct of the Pathways Program Position: CRPHS’s Pathways Program will provide an integrated network of coordinated encouragement, assistance, and support for students from low income families from grade school through college graduation.  Describe your vision for this program and how you hope to implement that vision. (Maximum Response - 500 words)
